I want to save for a PS3. I've read a lot of screwed up stuff about the X Box 360, and there are no games on the console that I want. I'm looking forward to the PS3 because all my favourite game series were on the previous console, and I am eagerly awaiting the release of Devil Ma Cry 4.
What about you guys?

Got the Xbox 360, nothing bad besides you need a hard drive for nearly everything and you'll have to download stuff to play original Xbox games. Me thinks Microsoft got a little greedy or something.

Anyhow, I never really liked the Playstation series. Not sure about PS3 though as I've not heard much about it.

Don't the Xbox people think the 360 is the best thing?

Xbox and PS always were at odds with each other if I remember...

well, the thing is with the PS 2 vs Xbox on the stats side the Xbox side won out, for the simplre reason of the three cores in the xbox, all at 700Mhz, while the PS 2 was not anywhere near as good from memory.

The PS 3 is meant to be able to clean the floor in comparison to the Xbox 360, as well as being BlueRay etc, and a large portion of that tech still isn't common enough for it to be in a reasonably priced console system.

So either we wait and get a somewhat cheap PS3 or Xbox 360 takes home the game due to cheapest console?

that, the current estimate for the PS 3 is well, nearly $1000 Aus, so I know I won't get one, but on the other hand the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, I would.

I won't be getting one, that's for sure. A new comp wouldn't be bad though.

well to put in perspective the Xbox $360 is near enough $700 Aus for a new console, and the PS3 is more powerful (supposed) and advanced(for sure, Blu Ray is something big, although HD DVD i think will win out in the end).
