So I have finally got to writing this and hope it's okay at least.
______________________________________________________________________
Order of The Burning Lake.
The Order of The Burning Lake worship fire as work of their Gods and see it as a holy element, therefore they see wizards who cast fire spells as prophets of the Gods and such wizards hold a high position within the order, in fact, the council that rules the order is made up of four such wizards and four so called Fire Lords, these are powerful priests or warriors who have preformed some great feat. This council has its seat in the Temple of Fire, suited on a now inactive volcano.
The order believe that, when the time is right, all water will turn into flame and the Gods will ascend the world and rule in peace and order. A cleansing flame will burn the heretics to ashes and make way for the righteous, and the Order of The Burning Lake will take its place as guardians of this new world.
Clothing: The Order of Fire sees red and orange as holy colours and they wear red or orange robes at every time, even in battle. The Fire Lords carry red robes with orange flames to indicate their stance, while the wizards of the council are free to carry any clothing they wish, though they do favour the same robes as the Fire Lords to prove their position of power.
The Order of The Burning Lake view water as something holy, due to its relation to fire in their religion, however wizards who control the powers of water are seen as heretics and are killed upon discovery.
The Order is organised in a way that there is only the council that is of higher rank then anyone else. The order’s warriors and priests are of equal rank and only answer to the council. Priests spend most of their time praying and maintaining the Temple of Fire while warriors train, pray and see to their weapons.
Weapons and armour: Priests of the order are familiar with simple fire spells but carry no armour or weapons when going into battle. Warriors on the other hand wear some armour and often carry ‘Fireblades’, long swords that require two hands to wield but do tremendous damage to enemies. The Fire Lords, who rarely go into combat unless the Temple itself or the wizard is a prophet, carry a special form of enchanted blades that actually are on fire. These blades are extremely powerful and the Fire Lords wield them with superhuman skill.
Warriors of this order are highly trained but the price at one can recruit them is high and they will never fight alongside someone who control the forces of water. Wizards who favour fire are often given special offers from the order however and the warriors and priests of the order will gladly accompany them into battle.

well, two handed broadswords aren't that big, try for a flamberge, But two hander broadswords are decent weapons.
Looks really good, I'll need to have a look at what I have written and see if i can write that in some how. _________________ Red Back Games, waiting to find new gamers to bite. |

a fifteen page document with no borders, on a forum, that has all of the basic rules, when i am yet to complete that part of the rule book myself, due to the fact I have three systems to work on, getting everything done takes time and time is a valuable commodity in very short supply on my end.
Okay, quickly, what i am thinking is creating towers of magic, ie the Phoenix Brotherhood, Dread, Avalon and Lower Avalon(Elves and Dark Elves respectively),Clans(dwarves), tribes(Wolf clans), and White, Grey and Black. Within those towers you can purchase upgrades to a particular mage order, ie Flaming Lake, Black Night, Deep Earth, Great Glacier etc, and that means you can upgrade some warriors to be a body guard to that member only and a few other things.
Included in that is a prohibited element. That is an order that can't be taken as a Primary Element by that mage, so you could have the orders working toegther, but the head wizard, if he belongs to a particular order will have restrictions. _________________ Red Back Games, waiting to find new gamers to bite. |
