Here is an inevitable question:
If one is to create a RPG book from smoething (suc as a license), what systems should be used?
Would it be d20, something new, or another well established system?
That also brings up the question: can we create a system that transfers systems? What I mean is, what aqbout people who want to play, say, an Iron Kingdoms campaign, but without the d20 rules?
Just want to hear your 2 cents.

it depends, if we as a group of people can add something to it, i suppose an OGL might be able to do something, but right now i have other concerns. _________________ Red Back Games, waiting to find new gamers to bite. |

What are the concerns. I take it RPGs won't be a staple in the copmany if you get it going.
I'd imagine financila backing and printing status, as well as forum membership/numbers are more of an issue at present.
It would be nice if most of th people on the memberslist posted. |

we all have lives apart from my business in the works, so all i can say to them is try to get on here.
The concerns are really the cost of a licence, they can be alot, and frankly, i won't be able to get one in the current position I am in due to he fact it is hard as all hell to keep track of what is going on in the position I am in as a game developer. _________________ Red Back Games, waiting to find new gamers to bite. |

| Looks like you need to expand your team. I'd say leaving the license stuff to a later date would be the best thing to do. |

it's the only choice, both in a business and design sense. _________________ Red Back Games, waiting to find new gamers to bite. |

Well if you have something play tested and the idea works, and of course, is fun, then the license is something extra you pitch to fans or something, or that Joe Public will see it on a shelf and go 'Hey, I remember that!'.
I suppose on the other hand the license thing will drive up sales, plus all the fluff and stuff is done, and you don't need to hire an artist, as this again is done. But then again hiring an artist probably would be chepaer where licenses are concerned. |
